The Arabian Travel Market 2024 (ATM) is opening today at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). This is anticipated to increase tourism and travel worldwide. Representatives from the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), Emirates, IHG Hotels & Resorts, and Al Rais Travel, among other key partners, have conferred over their plans for the event as it approaches, with the conclusion scheduled for May 9. ATM Dubai 2024: Key Highlights And Special Features
More than 2,300 exhibitors and delegates from more than 165 countries are expected to attend the 31st edition of the ATM. The theme of the event is “Empowering Innovation: Transforming Travel Through Entrepreneurship,” with approximately 41,000 people participating. This subject emphasises how important it is for the travel and tourism industry to prioritise innovation. As a result, this will open doors for them to enter the international travel and tourist sector.
There has been a notable 21% rise of hotel brands participating in the ATM 2024 compared to the previous year. Advances in travel technology are also highlighted, with a 58% rise in new products. This year’s market will welcome back nations like Spain and France as well as a number of new locations like China, Macao, Kenya, Guatemala, and Columbia.
The Department of Tourism Development in Ajman and AlUla will launch new luxury travel experiences and historical tourism initiatives. Further, the Costa del Sol Tourist Board and the Andalucía Tourism Board will highlight the area’s many attractions. The Azerbaijan Tourism Board and Aqaba Tourism will highlight their unique landscapes and quickly growing tourism facilities.
Prioritising Environmental Sustainability & Major Participants
In keeping with RX’s commitment to sustainability, the Arabian Travel Market 2024 places a high priority on environmental responsibility in the travel and tourist sector. Building on the previous subject of “Working Towards Net Zero,” this year’s event emphasises employing innovation to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN. The purpose of the talks and exhibitions is to examine how the industry may change in order to assist future generations by moving towards a more sustainable future.
Emirates has revealed the initial destinations for its new A350 network. The flights is scheduled to launch later this year. The largest airline in Dubai unveiled its newest itineraries at the Arabian Travel Market 2024, with flights to Edinburgh, Scotland, set to resume. Beginning on December 1, the bigger, longer aircraft will serve the French city of Lyon and the Italian city Bologna.
The new network will visit Bahrain, Kuwait, and Muscat, the capital of Oman, every day across the Middle East. Bahrain flights will start on September 15, Kuwait flights on September 16, and Muscat flights on December 1. Beginning on October 27, the aircraft will travel to Mumbai and Ahmedabad in West Asia. On January 1, there will be an additional daily flight to Colombo.
Jamaica hopes to draw tourists from the Middle East with its magnificent scenery and rich cultural heritage. Dubai Tourism, the host, will emphasise the city’s most recent attractions and noteworthy planned developments, highlighting its status as a global hub. Saudi Tourism will showcase its newest opulent resorts and cultural offerings in an effort to attract more international tourists.
