Atul Kulkarni: First Cup Of Tea Without Eating Anything Is A Poison

The talented Atul Kulkarni joined us for this episode of Tere Gully Mein, with Arohi Thatte, our anchor. They explored the lanes of Girgoan in Mumbai and talked endlessly about Maharashtra, its food and his life as an actor. We discussed his lifestyle and found out that the first cup of tea is poison for your body, according to him. It disturbs your stomach lining, read on to learn more about it.

Atul Kulkarni Believes That Early Morning Tea Is A Poison For The Body

Atul Kulkarni enlightened us about his extremely disciplined lifestyle which has been a routine for the past 15 to 16 years. He takes his early dinners at 6:30 PM to 7 PM, sleep by 10 PM and lunch at 8:30 to 9 AM. We wanted to know how he came to follow this lifestyle and he informed us, “Things start getting wrong is, that you eat late in the night and sleep immediately.” He continued that there should be a gap between your dinner time and the time you go to bed, which is a minimum of three hours. This is one of the reasons for his early dinners.

Atul Kulkarni eats his dinner around 7 PM, hence he wakes up hungry in the morning. He told us, “According to me, pehla cha zeher hai.” Upon hearing this Arohi laughed quietly and asked him if he meant that, he said yes. She went on to say that she expected him to say that the first cup of tea was his favourite and this clearly indicates why she laughed in the first place.

Atul Kulkarni completely disagreed with what Arohi said and replied, “No, it’s a poison. First cup of tea without eating anything is a poison because your stomach is ready to eat and you know, have the fuel in your tank so that you can go through your day.” He also educated us on how the first cup of tea destroys all the enzymes and secretions of the stomach lining that are there for nutritious food. Who all knew this about?
