Ingredients:

  • 400 ml milk
  • 2 tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp. cornflour (optional)
  • 2 tbsp. cream
  • 1/3 cup dark chocolate

For garnish:

  • Whipped cream
  • Grated chocolate
  • Melted dark, milk, and white chocolate

Method:

  1. Start by heating 400 ml of milk in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Once the milk is warm, whisk in 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Keep whisking until the mixture is smooth and the sugar has fully dissolved.
  3. Next, stir in 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 2 tablespoons of cream, and 1 tablespoon of cornflour (if you want a thicker consistency). Let it cook for a few minutes.
  4. Turn off the heat and add 1/3 cup of chopped dark chocolate to the pan. Stir until the chocolate completely dissolves.
  5. For an extra touch of indulgence, drizzle melted dark, milk, and white chocolate on the inside and rim of your mugs.
  6. Pour the hot chocolate mixture into the prepared mugs. Top it off with a generous dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of grated chocolate.
  7. Serve hot, sip slowly, and enjoy!
