Passengers and travellers kindly note that Bengaluru International Airport will partially close their commercial flights from January 30 to February 5, 2021, as they are rehearsing for Aero India 2021. Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) is working with the Indian Airforce to make sure there’s a limited disruption in their existing schedule during reduced operational hours. Bengaluru Airport Partially Shuts Operations For Aero India Show
The 13th Aero India show will be held in Air Force Station, Yelahanka in the city amid the COVID-19 pandemic. At the venue, BIAL will showcase the DigiYatra project, a facial recognition solution for seamless, hassle-free, and paperless journeys from the Kerb to boarding. Aero India, the country’s biennial air show will be held between February 3 and February 5 in Bengaluru.

Airport Taxis & Bus Services To Accommodate Changed Schedules
According to The Indian Express, Bengaluru International Airport Limited (BIAL) and other airlines will be sharing timely communication on the change in airport operations along with revised flight timings during Aero India. BIAL stated, “In order to ensure safety and pave the way for the success of the event, Bengaluru Airport will partially close commercial flight operations and also standby as the diversionary airport for flying display during the days of practice and the main show…BIAL is working with airlines and IAF to ensure minimal disruption to the existing schedule during the reduced operating hours.”

In order to manage the increased passenger traffic, airport taxis and bus services will be aligned to accommodate them. “Information on airport operations will be made available on the BIAL website http://www.bengaluruairport.com.
