Bengaluru’s commercial buildings have enforced crowd control regulations, temperature inspections, and the requirement to use face masks and sanitizers. Many bars and restaurants are choosing not to organise big parties during the Christmas and New Year’s holidays in favour of capping crowd sizes.

As a precaution, a number of eateries and bars are making sure that sanitizer is available on every table. By charging admission, these Church Street restaurants are also limiting the number of guests. A local restaurant manager stated that they have begun routinely cleaning the space and are restocking on necessities to guarantee that they do not run out of sanitizers.

Additionally, some bars are choosing to observe things quietly before implementing stringent policies during the holiday season. A restaurant’s manager announced that, as of December 23, staff members will take each customer’s temperature and make sure they clean their hands before they enter.

According to the Deccan Herald, they will also make mask use mandatory and restock on essential medications for emergencies. But before enforcing limitations, a number of hotel owners in the city are waiting for directives from the government.

They have not implemented any COVID-related restrictions out of concern that doing so might negatively affect commerce during the holidays. The manager of a well-known restaurant chain in the area stated that they have not yet received any directives from the government and will choose whether to enforce any curbs due to COVID.

The Karnataka Health Department published a circular on Tuesday stating that samples from all symptomatic people who have travelled abroad in the past need to be sent for whole genome sequencing.

All cases of SARI (severe acute respiratory infection) must be tested for COVID-19, according to a state mandate that is being followed while everyone is on alert. For at least one in every 20 cases of ILI (influenza-like illness), the circular additionally requires the COVID test. (As per News9live)
