Bengaluru Metro: Pink Line Operations To Begin From March 2025: Check Updates, Routes And More

The Pink Line of the Bengaluru Metro is all set to commercially begin its operations in March 2025. According to the reports, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has set March 2025 as the deadline for the work to be completed and the operations to begin commercially. The Pink Line of the Bengaluru Metro will span from Kalena Agrahara to Nagawara. Here are more updates on the same!

Bengaluru Metro: Pink Line Operations To Begin In 2025

The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has given March 2025 as a deadline to commence Pink Line services for people. The line will be 21.3 kilometres long and will start from Kalena Agrahara to Nagawara. 

The BMRCL will also build a tunnel network as part of the pink line network from Dairy Circle to Nagawara. Anjum Parwez, Managing Director of BMRCL, mentioned that the tunnel construction work has been completed by 80 percent. 

The Pink Line of the Bengaluru Metro will have 18 stations, out of which 12 will be underground. Dairy Circle, Langford Town, MG Road, Cantonment Railway Station, Tannery Road, Kadugondanahalli, Lakkasandra, National Military School, Shivajinagar, Pottery Town, Venkateshpura, and Nagawara.  

Kalena Agrahara, IIM-B, Hulimavu, Jayadeva, JP Nagar Fourth Phase, and Tavarekere will be elevated.

Aims To Open The Line All At Once

In order to provide all the daily commuters with a seamless journey, the Pink Line will intersect with the Purple Line. The intersection will take place at MG Road Station.

Anjum Parwez informed that The agency has undertaken the underground Metro work in four packages in order to undertake the work of stations and twin tunnels. To complete this work, about nine tunnel boring machines were deployed. Out of these nine, five have completed their given assignment, while four are still working. 

He also informed that the work on this line of Metro is going well, and Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) is looking at opening this line all at once.
