Bengaluru traffic is infamous and nothing less than a nuisance for the city peeps. In a move to ease the traffic in Bengaluru, the government is seeking to introduce a new development that will provide major relief to the people in the city. Recently, the incident of a doctor running 3 km to reach Manipal hospital for conducting an emergency surgery took the internet by storm. A lot of conversation came after Dr Govind Nandakumar ran without waiting for the traffic to clear. This new development will come as a relief to the ones who get stuck in Bengaluru traffic daily and have zero ways out. Read on to know WHAT’S NEW for the city!

How Satellite Towns Will Ease Bengaluru Traffic?

Bengaluru Traffic, in the words of Twitterati, is but a menace. To curb the traffic issues, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai made a welcome announcement of constructing four satellite towns around the city. Four towns have been identified to be made into satellite towns – Devanahalli, Nelamangala, Doddaballapur and another rural town. Introducing satellite towns around the city will help ease the pressure formed within the city. For the unversed, satellite towns are usually constructed to ease pressure in the cities which can cause due to various reasons. Also, the satellite towns are basically smaller municipalities, and with this process, Bengaluru traffic will surely relax to a large extent.

Promises For Bengaluru By CM Bommai

At a BJP rally, the CM made this announcement about the satellite town and, at the same time, spoke of his vision of a new Bengaluru. In a report by The News Minutes, Bommai spoke of how four new Bengaluru need to be developed around Bengaluru city. He even spoke of how these new areas can have dedicated activities like health city, defence area and more. The report also suggests that the BJP-ruled state government has plans to construct integrated townships around the city. Additionally, these new spaces will be well-connected to the rest of the cities.
