To make long-distance travel more comfortable, Uber has introduced Intercity Motorhomes, expanding the service to Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Pune after its initial rollout in Delhi NCR. Uber Expands Limited-Edition Intercity Motorhomes
Uber’s Intercity Motorhomes are limited-edition, caravan-styled motorhomes designed to turn any outstation journey into a lounge-on-wheels experience, complete with all the comforts you could ask for. Now, riders can start booking these new services from October 13, with travel commencing on October 15. Bookings in Delhi-NCR will continue until December 31, 2025.
The expansion decision came after a one-month pilot in Delhi NCR during the monsoon. Surprisingly, it saw 100% occupancy every day. It means that travellers are eager for private, comfort-first road trips. On this, Shiva Shailendran, Director – Consumer Growth, Uber India and South Asia, said, “Uber Intercity has become a preferred choice for riders who want dependable, comfortable, and easy travel between cities. The growing popularity of Intercity shows how people are embracing road travel for quick getaways, family visits, and business trips alike.”

Premium Amenities For Passengers
Intercity Motohomes will make your long-distance travel more luxurious with its various amenities. It has a four to five-passenger capacity with a television, microwave, mini-refrigerator, and lavatory. It aims to offer a private, lounge-like experience on the road. To offer constant assistance during the journey, these new launches have a driver and helper as well
Like all Uber Intercity rides, these trips can be booked in advance via the ‘Reserve’ option on the app. It also offers flexibility to add stops, track the ride in real time, and access 24/7 support. Due to high demand, bookings must be made at least 48 hours ahead of travel.
