The Patnitop Development Authority has beautifully carved out a Flower Valley and this project is aiming to boost the tourism sector and also generate a revenue of about ₹45.9 lakh in a year. Patnitop Will Soon Be Bathed In Lavender & Marigold Flowers!

The Patnitop Development Authority planted tons of seedlings and plants in this beautiful hill station to create a vast colourful land of vibrant flowers. Thakur Sher Singh is the chief executive officer and he shared that the authority worked with experts and Panchayati Raj Institutions to bring this project to life. They worked to make the project happen in their own jurisdiction.

What Is The Aim Of The Flower Valley Project?

With such an enigmatic tourist attraction, it is certain that Patnitop is going to become an iconic place to explore. All these huge areas surrounded by vibrant and fragrant flowers will attract travellers from all around and the Patnitop tourism also aims to witness a surge in the tourism sector with enhancement and improvement in biodiversity and socio-economic development.

The project started with some massive dedication and a goal to stand out from the rest. Over 90,000 flower seedlings were planted in an area of 12.50 acres, as shared by the Chief Executive Officer, Thakur Sher Singh. Out of these 90,000 flower seedlings in the first phase of the project, most were lavender seedlings. And from these lavender flower seedlings, around 70,000 were obtained from Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district. All these seedlings were seeded during September-October.

Not only lavender, but you can also witness stunning vibrant beds of different marigolds and cosmos. Around 20,000 of these flowers were seeded in 2021 and also this year.

The soil in Patnitop is suitable for a huge range of flowers. Even the weather makes it appropriate to seed all these different lower seedlings. In this Flower valley project, more flowers will also be seeded at different times.
