On Monday, the Pushkar Brahma Temple received the first of two elevators that will be built for ₹1 crore thanks to the Ajmer administration. Devotees may struggle with the steep, slick 17 steps leading up to the ancient temple. According to The Times Of India, report, then-President Ram Nath Kovind prayed from the temple stairs in 2018 since his wife’s knee issues prevented her from ascending to the sanctum sanatorium.

The prayers had to be recited from the steps by the governor of Rajasthan, Kalraj Mishra, and the former governor, Kalyan Singh. The Department of Archaeology has given the district administration permission to construct elevators at the temple for the benefit of elderly and handicapped pilgrims.
