The present condition of the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul is intensely grim and unpleasant. About 149 people have lost their lives in the past weeks, according to a report by Fox Weather. Intense floods and waterlogging everywhere resulted in more than 800 suffering from injuries. Around 108 residents of the affected places in Brazil are missing at the present moment, Brazilian authorities shared on Wednesday.

According to different reports and news updates, about 2.1 million people’s lives were affected and disrupted because of the floods in Brazil’s state of Rio Grande do Sul. This is clearly not the end of misery and facing the most extreme inconveniences as over 5,38,000 residents have been displaced after heavy rainfall hit the affected areas and caused severe flooding.

Following the disaster, the rescue teams working relentlessly day and night rescued over 76,000 people already. But this is not the end of operations. Everyone involved in saving residents from this disaster is still working hard to save more and more residents from the life-threatening situation.

The weather worsened during the end of April and grew intense at the beginning of May. It has been many days since the rainfall but the disastrous conditions still persist. The floods grew stronger than ever and damaged places and people terribly. The Fox Weather report stated that the floods are likely to remain still for a month.
