It’s commonly referred to as the Midfield Terminal. This marks the comeback of this route after a four-year hiatus. The flight BA73 will take off from London Heathrow at 10:25 pm local time and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 8:30 am. The return journey, BA72, will depart from Abu Dhabi at 10:10 am, reaching London at 3:20 pm. It’s worth noting that during the winter, the schedule changes slightly, with BA73 landing in Abu Dhabi at 9:30 am and departing at 11:10 am.
Abu Dhabi’s Midfield Terminal is a cutting-edge facility situated at Abu Dhabi International Airport, designed to handle the increasing influx of passengers. Spanning a massive 742,000 square meters, it ranks among the largest airport terminals globally, with the capacity to process an impressive 11,000 passengers per hour. To mark the return of this London-Abu Dhabi route, British Airways is offering special promotional fares. Passengers can secure return tickets for World Traveller seats in the £449-£2,000 range if they book their flights before November 12. This offer extends to both cash and World Traveller fares, with Club World seats available from £1,999.
The airport, in future, will have 65 aircraft gates. Expect a minimum connection time of just 45 minutes, inclusive of baggage transfer. Additionally, it will feature eight A380 boarding gates. The terminal is anticipated to accommodate a staggering 30 million passengers annually. Expect a capacity to process up to 8,500 passengers every hour.
British Airways will join the ranks of 28 other airlines relocating to the new Midfield Terminal. It will commence operations on November 11.
This development is intricately linked to Plan Abu Dhabi 2030. It’s a framework designed to shape the Emirate’s future development and accommodate the anticipated population growth.
