To come to this conclusion, the good folks here gathered available data to find out – which landmark is on the top! Yes, for this, a list of 72 of the world’s most famous landmarks was put together. After this, the people working on this research looked at the number of Instagram hashtags. In fact, they also took note of the global monthly Google search volume for each of these. So, once all the results were compiled and laid out in front of front them, the top 10 bucket list landmarks around the world were revealed.

How Was This Conclusion Reached?
Burj Khalifa snags the first spot on this coveted list as it boasts the highest average global search volume. This stands at a whopping 22,40,000 per month while the architectural marvel also has 61,79,975 Instagram images under #BurjKhalifa. It’s worth mentioning that although Burj Khalifa is the most searched-for landmark, the Eiffel Tower happens to be the most Instagrammed monument. As it happens, it boasts a whopping 71,92,685 images under #EiffelTower and an average of 1.5 million people searching for the breathtaking building in Paris, France. So, this hardly comes as a surprise!
As such, the third spot was grabbed by Times Square in New York City and Niagara Falls in Canada stood at the fourth place.
