Dubai Ranks As The Cleanest City
According to the Global Power City Index (GPCI) issued by Japan’s Mori Memorial Foundation, Dubai is the cleanest city in the world. For the last three years, according to GPCI, the city has been bagging the title.
Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, tweeted about it. In the tweet, Sheikh Mohammed emphasised the value of cleanliness, saying it is essential to civilization, culture, and faith. He pledged to uphold the city’s stability, prosperity, and safety.
Not only the cleanest but Dubai is also the safest and the most beautiful city in the world according to GPCI.

Cities Are Evaluated Under Categories
The GPCI, released by the Mori Memorial Foundation’s Institute for Urban Strategies, ranks the world’s major cities according to their “magnetism,” or general capacity to draw tourists, investors, and capital from throughout the world.
The cities are evaluated in six main categories. Research and development, liveability, accessibility, economy, cultural interaction, and environment are the categories. All these categories get divided into subcategories. They are then evaluated on the basis of their performance in each category.
Policymakers, academics, and corporations frequently consult the GPCI to learn more about a city’s advantages and disadvantages. It offers useful information for individuals intending to go overseas or pursue further education, as well as for investors and companies looking to extend their operations globally.
The GPCI assists cities in identifying areas for improvement so they can raise their level of competitiveness in the world market.
