If you are someone who likes to participate in marathon events, then you are in for some brilliant news, as there is a new half marathon that’s landing in Dubai. Yes, slated to take place on January 21, which is a Sunday, the event is called Burj2Burj. With a route of 21.1 km designed by runners, here’s all about the upcoming half marathon.

Burj2Burj racing event will take athletes across the scenic route of 21.1 km, which starts at the iconic Burj Al Arab and ends at the Burj Khalifa. This route is hardly surprising as it’s quite evident from the name of the half marathon itself. Not to mention, it has been designed by runners themselves!

So, even if you are new to the concept of marathon, this event is certainly something that you would want to attend. When you zip from the Burj Al Arab, and start running across the coastal palm tree-lined roads of Jumeirah, you will cross the Dubai Canal Bridge, once you’re halfway point. And when you’ve made your way to the Downtown, you will get to make your way to the finish line under the Burj Khalifa.

It’s worth mentioning that there will be ample food, drinks, photo ops, and even live entertainment acts that will welcome the half-marathon runners. With medical and comfort points along the route, these runners will also be supplied with water. As it happens, there will also be live sets, challenges, and many spots on the sidelines from where you can cheer for your favourite runner.

As it happens, 10,000 runners can part in the event and there is a cut-off of three hours for everyone to finish the route. Keep in mind that elite runners will start the race at 6 AM followed by the elite women group, which will begin at 6:02 AM. Finally, they will be followed by everyone else at 6:05 AM.
