Tragedy struck in Manitoba when a bus carrying senior citizens collided with a semi-trailer truck. This horrific crash took place in a town called Carberry in Winnipeg on the Trans-Canada Highway. The accident has claimed the lives of 15 people and has left many in despair and shock. The police as well as the medical services arrived on the scene of the accident. Eyewitnesses stated that the accident was unlike anything they’d ever witnessed before.
Canada Highway Crash: Bus Collides With Truck In Manitoba
Recently, a tragedy struck on the Trans-Canada Highway which is north of a town called Carberry in Winnipeg, Manitoba. A bus, which was carrying senior citizens collided with a semi-trailer truck. The bus was carrying a total of 25 people.
The police as well as the emergency medical services, including two helicopters, arrived at the scene of the accident. 15 people at the scene were declared dead. 10 people have been severely injured and have been transferred to a hospital where they’re being treated.
According to an article recently published by NDTV, a significant portion of the area where the accident occurred was covered by tarpaulins. The article also talks about how many eyewitnesses were describing a charred vehicle in a ditch.

Justin Trudeau’s Reaction; Flags To Fly Half-Mast

Even the Prime Minister of the country, Justin Trudeau, tweeted about the tragedy and expressed his deepest condolences at the incident and saying that Canadians are there for those who were impacted by the incident.
Heather Stefanson, who is the Premier of Manitoba, said that the flags at all the legislative buildings in the province will fly half-mast. She, too, expressed her grief and condolence at the tragic incident.
As per the authorities, motorists were asked to avoid the area for the time being and the highway was closed on both ends. Even the hospitals in the area were on high alert and were responding to the large number of victims that were left in the wake of the accident.
