Celebrate Bakri Eid in Old Delhi

It is no secret that Old Delhi is the place to be during Ramadan and Eid, just like Mohammed Ali Road in Mumbai. However, here are a couple of places that every foodie must eat at, especially during the festive season.

Karim’s

Old Delhi is Karim’s for me. Even on a regular day, their Nihari is the best I’ve ever had. So you can only imagine what the food must be like on Eid. Their Mutton Barra is tender, well-cooked and the best in the city.

Al-Jawahar

When I think of Al-Jawahar, I can literally picture Afghani Burra and Kaleji. The food here is quite spicy but I think the spice is what makes it stand out. No one does Kaleji like Al Jawahar, it is cooked to perfection and in spices that will make your eyes and mouth water.

Kallan Sweets

When my friend suggested Paneer Jalebi, I cringed. Kallan Sweets does these amazing, thick jalebis among other delicious sweets. Shahi Tukda is also a must try.
