Chef Garima Arora’s restaurant received its first Michelin star in 2018. This noteworthy accomplishment was a turning point for women in the culinary industry as well as an evidence of Garima’s talent. She created history by being the first female Indian chef to receive the esteemed Michelin Star.

Talking about her journey, her insatiable curiosity took her to France. Here she graduated in 2010 with a grand diploma in culinary and patisserie from Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. Her adventure in the culinary world was far from over; she would go on to work with chefs such as Gaggan Anand, Gordon Ramsay, and René Redzepi of Noma in Copenhagen.

Significantly, Garima’s culinary skills gained recognition on a global scale. In 2019, her restaurant Gaa won the Highest New Entry Award and made an amazing debut at No. 16 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list. She was recognised as a pioneer in her industry when the World’s 50 Best Restaurants named her Asia’s Best Female Chef that same year.
