Listen up, foodies! There’s a new addition to Dubai’s culinary scene and like always it’s the ‘World’s Best’. Massimo Bottura, the brain behind the World’s Best Restaurant – Osteria Francescana has now made his debut in the city. His first venture outside Italy, the luxe dining is called Torno Subito and will be open to the public from February 10.
The Restaurant
Torno Subito is docked in the very recent and luxurious W Dubai-The Palm. The ambience is very retro, taking you back to the good old 60s, where everything is sophisticated but laid back. The flooring is drenched in black and white (think pedestrian crossing) while green cane chairs along with pink and blue sofas double up as seating. The lighting is nothing fancy either- simple, transparent industrial bulbs lighten up the space.
The restaurant is open for both lunch and dinner and diners can enjoy their meal indoors, outdoors and on the beach. If that’s too cliche for you, carry your drink, hire a paddle boat and go on a jolly ride on the waters.
A mobile Gelato cart will deliver desserts to the guests. Plus, you can also choose the size of your pasta bowl (medium and large options are available). What’s not to love!

What Else?
This is not the only restaurant at WDubai-The Palm. Michelin-starred chef Akira Back is set to make his Middle East debut with his first restaurant at W-Dubai. The restaurant will serve lip-smacking Japanese dishes with a Korean twist along with Akira’s signature creations. If you like to savor Latin American cuisine, head to SoBe, seated in the rooftop, offering uninterrupted views. And when you are done satiating your taste buds, don’t forget to check out the special feature of the hotel- the WET deck. First of its kind in the city, the pool deck allows guests to have it all- from signature cocktails near the DJ booth to soaking in the sun!
