Nestled at New York’s 24 First Avenue, Bungalow is one of the latest ventures of Chef Vikas Khanna. The Michelin star chef brought his vision for this incredible project to life and opened its doors on March 23, 2024. In many interviews and social media posts, he shared that Bungalow was his sister Radhika’s dream. Unfortunately, she is no more. Chef Vikas Khanna worked relentlessly to create a perfect space and began the journey of NYC’s Bungalow. The restaurant was launched on March 23, which would have been his sister’s 50th birthday.
Recently, he shared a reel where he is seen cleaning the glass-high ceiling of this restaurant. He can be seen washing and cleaning the glass roof using a mop rod. Next, the chef also used a handkerchief to mop the area and make it squeaky clean. Sharing this small glimpse of his life, the chef wrote, “When you have a ‘PROMISE’, you have to climb every step or ceiling to fulfill it.” He further added that Bungalow is committed to creating the perfect place representing Indian cuisine and culture.
The restaurant aims to make everyone feel at home. “I hope from the first to the last guest, the team works like a prayer. Every single day”, the chef also added. This gem of a restaurant takes every visitor on an immersive journey experiencing elegance and heritage.
