Cyclone Fengal wreaked havoc in Chennai and nearby areas. From incessant rainfall to making landfall, many people unfortunately lost their lives due to adverse weather conditions. Flight operations were disrupted, roads were closed, and more inconveniences created panic among commuters and locals. In such a sensitive time, a grandfather tried his best to make his grandkids happy and transformed a submerged yard into a playground.

Grandfather Transformed A Flooded Apartment’s Yard Into A Playground

X user Chutki Chaiwali🇮🇳 (@Chai_Angelic) shared a video of the kids playing with their grandpa at a submerged residential complex in Chennai.

Cyclone Fengal triggered alarming floods in different areas in Chennai. Many people went through a tragic time following continuous heavy rainfall, landfalls, broken trees, and worsening weather. In between the mishaps and miseries, a grandfather tried lifting his grandchildren’s spirits by creating a fun play area. He made a makeshift ride for the kids to play in the deluge.

The granddad attached an Ola S1 series scooter with an inflated raft and turned the waterlogged space in the residential complex into a joyous ride for the kids to enjoy in this otherwise disheartening time. His little effort made the young ones very happy and we could see them cheering and having a big smile on their cute faces.

Both children were giggling and having a wonderful time on this makeshift raft floating in the flooded front yard. This was a special way for the grandfather to make his little ones feel the most special.
