Our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, spent the day with Pookie Baba at the Gauri Gopal Ashram in the latest Sunday Brunch episode, where the setting itself changed the mood of the show. Here, they indulged in seva, conversation, and a different kind of hospitality. During the visit, they met more than 300 Vridh Mata women and saw the daily rhythm of service at the ashram. The episode ended with satvik bhojan, fitting for the spiritual vibes.
Pookie Baba Reveals He Has Never Tried Momos
Then came the segment that people will probably talk about the most. Kamiya Jani, our editor-in-chief, asked him to choose between ghar ka khana and bahar ka khana. Pookie Baba did not pause to think; home food won immediately.
What followed was the real surprise; he revealed he had never eaten momo in his life. He then explained why he keeps a distance from popular outside food. According to him, many people line up for food that eventually makes them sick. In his own blunt style, he said such things can leave people bemaar. He listed chowmein, burgers, pizza and similar market-made food among items people should avoid. His criticism was not only about taste, but it was also about what goes into them.

Pookie Baba’s Strong Take On Fast Food Goes Viral
Pookie Baba claimed many eateries say they cook in refined oil, but in reality, people may be consuming heavily processed oils again and again. He also aimed at packaged food, saying preservatives and chemicals are hidden inside products that many families eat casually.
Then he shifted from diet to self-reliance. He suggested using sarson ka tel at home and returning to older kitchen habits. To explain it, he compared the present times with earlier generations. Today, he said, global conflict can trigger gas concerns, and households feel the pressure quickly. Years ago, families would have handled such moments differently because chulhas were common, local systems existed, and dependence on outside supply chains was lower.
That observation turned a food conversation into something broader. For him, this is not only about pizza versus paratha. It is about how convenience has replaced capability. Whether viewers agree with every claim or not, Pookie Baba was clear on one thing: homemade food, traditional oils, and simpler cooking still make more sense to him than packaged shortcuts and fast-food queues. In an era obsessed with what is trending to eat next, he argued for something older!
