To introduce “five-star luxury” trains over the Kingdom’s desert, Saudi Arabia’s state railway has teamed up with the Italian development and management company behind Orient Express, Arsenal Group.
Saudi Arabia will have to invest $51 million for the train’s production. This is but a drop in the vast ocean of wealth that may be discovered in the region. The signature of this MoU between SAR and Arsenale should be viewed as the beginning of the launch of a new proposition in the tourism industry that includes a luxurious train travel encounter.

When Do We Expect The Dream Of The Desert To Start?
In 2025, the trains will begin operating, transporting passengers from Riyadh to Qurayyat via AlUla. In order to promote the Orient Express in Italy, Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) and the Arsenale Group of Italy signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
The agreement demonstrates SAR’s dedication to advancing tourism and cultural activities in the Kingdom and seeks to advance overall tourism objectives. Visitors and citizens of the Kingdom will have a rare opportunity to discover a variety of tourist destinations within the context of comprehensive luxury transportation thanks to the luxury train.
Travellers can learn about the “Made in Italy way” and its well-known quirks as they ride the Orient Express train through the treasures of the Italian cultural heritage and countryside. And in the Dream of the Desert, which will span Saudi Arabia in 2025, we’ll get to see some aspects that are similar to those mentioned above.
