Vietnamese airline Vietjet is going to start a direct flight route from Kochi to Ho Chi Minh City!
Vietjet To Start Direct Flight Route From Kochi To Ho Chi Minh City!
Vietjet, a Vietnamese airline, will start operating direct flights between Kochi and Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) on August 12. Nguyen Thanh Hai, the Ambassador of Vietnam to India, and Jay L. Lingeswara, Vice President of Commerce for Vietjet, attended the event in Kochi where the new route was unveiled.
An important turning point for the growth of Kochi Airport and the tourism sectors of the two nations is the first-ever direct flight between Kerala and Vietnam.

Four flights each week will be run on the Kochi-HCMC route, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The flights will leave Kochi at 11:50 p.m. local time and arrive in Ho Chi Minh City at 6:40 a.m. At 7:20 p.m. local time, the return flights depart from Ho Chi Minh City and arrive in Kochi at 10:50 p.m. local time.

According to a Zee News report, a meeting took place between the Chief Minister of Kerala and Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai. During a meeting, Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai pledged to begin direct flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Kochi. The decision-making meeting was held on Tuesday at Vijayan’s official residence.
In a tweet, the CM stated that the direct airline service would strengthen relations between Kerala and Vietnam while also promoting tourism and economic growth in the region. According to the CMO statement, this decision would strengthen several industries in Kerala, including trade, banking, and tourism.

The Vietnamese Ambassador expressed his opinion that beginning a direct air service between Kerala and Vietnam would be beneficial for both regions in many fields.
