CONFIRMED! IPL 2021 To Take Place In The UAE From 19 September To 15 October

The Indian Premier League (IPL), which was suspended in May 2021 in India amid the new virus strain, is now set to take place in the UAE. The remaining tournament, will be held in the UAE from September 19 till October 15. The season will kick off with a nail-biting clash between the Mumbai Indians and the Chennai Super Kings on September 19. The remainder of the 14th IPL season will now be played in Dubai and we simply can’t keep calm!

Remaining IPL 2021 Matches To Be Held In The UAE Between 19 September- 15 October

BCCI has announced the schedule for the remaining VIVO IPL 2021 matches. The season’s remaining 31 matches will be played over 27 days. 13 matches will be held in Dubai, 10 in Sharjah and 8 in Abu Dhabi. The first qualifier will be played on 10 October in Dubai, while the Eliminator and qualifier 2 matches will be played in Sharjah on 11 and 13 October respectively. Lastly, the final match of VIVO IPL 2021 will take place in Dubai on 15 October 2021.

In terms of IPL, the league has a massive fan following in India, and it was suspended in early May after many players tested positive. And while stalling the matches, BCCI, in a statement had mentioned that it does not want to compromise on the safety of the players, support staff and the other participants involved in organising the IPL.

IPL 2020 was also played in the UAE, and it was a gala affair not only for the players but also for the residents, who truly enjoy watching cricket. And now, with Dubai Expo and IPL in October, UAE-ites have a lot to look forward to.
