Following the viral video of a woman proposing to her boyfriend near the Kedarnath temple in Uttarakhand, a heated debate has ensued on social media. The video shows a YouTuber woman and her boyfriend in a viral video while walking near the Kedarnath temple.
To everyone’s surprise, she kneels and proposes to him, presenting him with a ring. People passing by were amazed, some even recorded the heartwarming moment on their phones.
Now most days, such heartwarming videos receive adoration and warmth. But this time, the tables have turned, and this viral video caught the attention of the temple officials.
In response, the temple priests have expressed their objections. They stated that such videos have a negative impact on the religious sanctity of the revered site.
Taking the matter seriously, the temple committee has requested the police to take appropriate action against individuals involved in making such videos.

Temple Officials Prompted To Serious Action
After the viral video of the girl proposing to her boyfriend, devotees are now being asked to turn off their mobile phones before entering the temple area. However, sources indicate that plans are underway to provide storage facilities for mobile phones.
The facilities will most likely be available outside the temple premises, in the near future.
This is not the only such incident, in the later days of June, a video of a woman showering money inside the temple also went viral. The white saree-clad woman was recorded showering money on a shiva linga.
The incident happened in the main premises of the temple where videography and photography are banned. Strict action was demanded and taken against the woman.

The temple officials urged the responsible authorities to take strict action and create precautions to avoid such acts.
