The BAPS Hindu temple is a pillar of strength between the two nations. This temple is an excellent architectural masterpiece that has been created with a mix of traditional and advanced technology. As Curly Tales took a tour of this temple, which is in the last stages of its development, one has to admit that it looked absolutely dazzling. While it is still under construction, it’s going to be quite marvellous once complete. The temple premise has a community centre, a sattvik food court, an amphitheatre, and even a mini sand dune.

Expected to be the biggest in West Asia, this is also the first and the biggest Hindu stone temple in the UAE. For those who aren’t aware, the UAE President, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan gifted Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi this land for Hindu Temple back in 2015.

It’s An Architectural Marvel!

Did you know the lead architect is a Christian, the project director is a Sikh and the structural engineer is a Buddhist? Well, not just that, the contractor is a Parsi and the chief consultant is a man of no religion! This means people from different countries, communities, and personal beliefs have contributed towards making this beautiful temple. Coming to the design, it has been derived from the Vedic sculptures and architecture with several artisans from India working tirelessly on the same. Standing at a height of 108 feet, around 40,000 m³ of marble and 1,80,000 m³ of pink sandstone have been used for making this majestic temple.

At this point, it is worth noting that it is located on the Dubai Abu Dhabi Sheikh Zayed Road and can be visited by people from across the Emirate of Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai. In fact, 500 different varieties of trees plants and shrubs have also been planted in the premises.
