You know that feeling when you walk into a space and instantly feel like you belong? That’s exactly what hit me as I stepped into the newest SOCIAL outlet in Delhi—Connaught Place SOCIAL, the 57th addition to India’s favourite café-bar chain. Nestled in the historic heart of the capital, this isn’t just another SOCIAL. It’s a tribute to the rich cultural legacy of Pin Code 001 and a fresh take on the city’s past, all wrapped up in SOCIAL’s signature quirky charm in CP.
SOCIAL’s Newest Outlet In CP
From the moment you walk in, the décor grabs you. The interiors are a love letter to the Indian Post Office. Think vintage currency notes, postal stamps, framed postcards, locker rooms, and art installations inspired by money orders and lost letters. One of the most striking elements is the grand oval-shaped island bar, inspired by the teller windows of British-era banks.
The vibe? Effortlessly cool. Even though the outlet had only been open a few weeks, it was packed—and buzzing. There was live music, a roaring crowd, and that classic SOCIAL energy that makes any night feel like an event.
Classics Bites With A SOCIAL Twist
The menu at CP SOCIAL is as playful and creative as its interiors. Here’s everything we tried (and how we felt about it):
- Jalapeño Cheese Nads
The cheese-pull was chef’s kiss. These golden bites were loaded with cheese; comfort food at its best. That said, we were craving more heat. If the jalapeño had been bolder, it would’ve been a knockout. Still, a solid 10/10 on gooey goodness.
- South Hall Fish N Chips
Desi meets Brit in this fiery twist. The basa, marinated in vindaloo paste and fried in a light beer batter, was crispy and full of flavour. Served with masala fries and lehsun chutney mayo, it was a spicy, satisfying plate. Highly recommend if you like your comfort food with a kick.
- Chinese Thali
A platter that looked like a mini festival on our table—spring rolls, momos, Chinese bhel, chilli paneer, and noodles. The spring rolls and paneer hit the right notes, and the noodles were classic comfort. But the Chinese bhel fell flat—it lacked the zing we expected. Still, for anyone who lives for Indo-Chinese, this is a fun, flavour-packed pick.
- Guacamole & Black Bean Burger
Surprisingly fresh and hearty! The creamy guac paired beautifully with the well-seasoned black bean patty. It’s one of those vegetarian options that even hardcore meat lovers would enjoy.

Cocktails That Tell A Story
SOCIAL is as much about drinks as it is about food, and CP’s cocktail menu pulls no punches.
- Aacharoska
Ever had a cocktail that tastes like your childhood lunchbox? This one’s got Smirnoff vodka, lime, mint, and… achaar. Yes, pickle! It’s quirky, bold, and totally unforgettable. If you like pushing boundaries, this one’s for you.
- South Pacific Rim
A tropical rum mix with pineapple, orange juice, and grenadine. It leaned a bit too sweet for our taste, but it works if you’re in the mood for a fruity high.
- Thai Maalish
This one was a winner. Think Tanqueray, kaffir lime, galangal, lemongrass, and coconut water—a spa day in a glass. Incredibly refreshing and perfectly balanced.
Dessert To End On A High Note
- Layer Cake
They weren’t kidding when they called it that. This was a delicious bite of rich chocolate sponge, layered with not one, not two, but three kinds of mousse cakes, served with a generous pour of hot chocolate ganache. Decadent, dreamy, and every bit Instagram-worthy.
