When you think of chocolates, you think of a bar of treats that would make for an excellent nibble to satiate your sweet tooth. You don’t really think of a 3-D miniature version of a famous painting, do you? However, a Chinese woman is going viral for creating a 3-D miniature version of the famous painting, ‘Along the River During the Qingming Festival’, with 60 KG of chocolate.

In a recent report by Money Control, it was mentioned how a Chinese woman recreated a 3-D miniature version of the famous painting, ‘Along the River During the Qingming Festival’. As reported by Jimu News, the video posted by blogger Fan Sumu, which recreates ancient Bianjing city, has gained around one million likes.

This Is A Famous Painting By Zhang Zeduan

The South China Morning Post, in its report, mentions how this is a masterpiece that was painted by Zhang Zeduan during the Northern Song dynasty. It is one of the most well-known works in Chinese history, and the 25.5 cm x 5.2 m handscroll is widely admired for its lively and detailed representation of daily life and landscape. The scene is along the Bian River in Bianjing, which was the ancient capital city.

Not just chocolate, but reports mention how the blogger used fondant and rice paper to replicate the painting. She had first created a small chocolate replica of the part of the artwork the previous year. After this, she dedicated three months this year to creating the full version. As mentioned in the report, the work measures 1.2 m wide and 7 m in length. It features 176 houses, 281 trees, more than 20 boats, and 816 people.

She Has Previously Created Other Famous 3-D Structures

The woman had initially started this project in the living room. But it quickly became too cramped. So, she rented a bigger house 25 km away. However, several pieces got broken during the shift, and she had to restart her work. Over the past few years, she has created chocolate miniature models of famous structures in China. For instance, the Hall of Supreme Harmony in Beijing’s Imperial Palace is one of them.

With the woman creating this beautiful structure having no formal training in Arts has truly left netizens astounded. For those who are curious about the woman, according to SCMP, she was previously a food blogger. However, over the recent years, she has created several such miniature is one of which we have mentioned above.
