Dubai Police Urge Parents To Keep Children Safe During Eid al-Adha Celebrations

Eid holidays are usually packed with family lunches, mall trips, late-night outings and children running around everywhere. But while everyone gets caught up in the celebrations, Dubai Police are reminding parents not to let safety take a back seat and to keep an eye on their children.

Dubai Police Tell Parents Not To Lose Sight Of Kids During Eid Rush

In a message shared on X, Dubai Police asked families to stay extra careful with children during Eid al-Adha celebrations. The reminder came as many families across the UAE prepare for gatherings, outings and busy public spaces over the long break.

Don’t leave children unattended and check what they are watching and playing. Also, pay attention to how they use phones and tablets.

For many parents, Eid can get hectic very quickly. One minute, children are sitting beside you; the next, they have disappeared towards a play area, gaming zone or shop window. Dubai Police seem to be focusing on those small moments that can easily turn stressful.

Families Often Get Distracted During Big Gatherings

During Eid, homes are full of guests, and children usually end up playing together in groups. It only takes a few seconds for adults to get distracted in conversation or busy serving food.

Dubai Police said parents should make sure games, activities and digital content are suitable for children’s ages. The reminder was not only about the physical safety of children during Eid outside but also about online safety inside the house.

That part stood out for many people because screen time tends to increase during holidays. Kids stay awake longer, borrow phones more often and spend extra hours online while adults are occupied.

Online Safety Is Also Part Of The Conversation

The police warning did not go into detail about specific online risks. But the message was clear enough. Parents should monitor how children use smart devices during the holiday break.

Also, many children end up downloading games, clicking random videos or chatting online more freely during school holidays. It happens quietly. Sometimes adults do not notice until later.

Dubai Police regularly share awareness messages around public safety, especially before holidays and major events. But this one felt more like a practical reminder than a strict warning.
