Ordering things online has become a part of our daily life. In a time when almost everything is available online, people rarely make the effort to go to markets. They simply take out their smartphones and order groceries and other items, which sometimes get delivered in under 10 minutes. But who deserves the real credit? The application, in one way, yes. But delivery partners are the ones who deserve the credit for making sure our orders reach us on time.
Be it rain, sweltering summers, or even biting cold, they always complete their deliveries with sheer hard work. But how do we show our gratitude? We say thank you, yes. But recently, a man, Vineeth K took to his X account (@DealsDhamaka) to show what he does.
According to his post, he keeps water bottles at his entrance so delivery partners can take one if they are thirsty. He started doing this in 2022 and continues to do it every year. He also wrote, “A small gesture, but many said that it was really touching to see that someone cared for them. 300 bottles cost just ₹1500.”

A Simple Act That Goes A Long Way
Honestly, this is such a simple yet thoughtful gesture. Back-to-back deliveries can take a toll on them. Offering fresh water is the least we can do, and it does not even cost much. This man has truly set an example online. Many X users were impressed by this generous act.
One wrote, “That’s how you treat people who make your life easier,” while another said, “Amazing gesture. Keep doing good.” One user shared that he gives small packets of buttermilk to delivery partners during the summer. Another shared, “My mom started keeping a matka with water and a glass outside the door during summer just for this reason. She saw a delivery guy look so dehydrated in peak summer. It’s just water, but it makes a ton of difference in the sweltering heat.”
It is definitely a great idea. We should also start keeping water bottles for delivery partners at our doors. A simple act of kindness can truly go a long way.
