Saying goodbye forever to the furry friends is never easy for pet owners. Pet dogs, when brought home, eventually become a part of the family, and they unconditionally love their owners. But when they die, pet owners in India find it difficult to cremate them and need to run from one place to another to perform their last rites. But now, the mayor of South Delhi has finally inaugurated a dog crematorium in Ghitorni to allow people to cremate their pets with all the respect they deserve. Also, a Bangalore man had sold off his house to feed stray dogs.
South Delhi Mayor Inaugurates A Crematorium For Dogs At Ghitorni
South Delhi Mayor Anamika inaugurated a crematorium for dogs at Ghitorni, according to PTI reports. The crematorium has been set up by an NGO. The authorities have installed two cremating furnaces, one for biomass up to 25 kg and the other for 25-50 kg. Reportedly, the mayor has said in the crematorium, the dogs can be cremated with dignity and respect. She added that the cremation process will take around 45 to 60 minutes. Ms. Anamika also said that this has been a good initiative towards a cleaner environment and greener Delhi. Meanwhile, a tiny dog had travelled 10,000 miles to reunite with her owners.

Introduction Of A Dog Rescue Ambulance
The mayor, Ms. Anamika, has also introduced a dog rescue ambulance to pick up injured dogs for free treatment. After they are treated, they will be returned to the place from where they were found. Another pet crematorium, Paws to Heaven, is located near New Delhi’s Junapur Village. The Pet Hospital & Boarding Shelter, where the crematorium is situated, also has a prayer room for the rituals and a ‘wall of memories’ to preserve the memories of the friends with paws in the form of photographs, posters, poems, etc.

Like humans, dogs too deserve honour after their demise. After all, they are the most faithful creatures on the earth.
