The Post Office UK has released its annual Holiday Money Report for 2024. Out with their 18th edition, this report examines international holiday destinations for UK travellers. For this year’s report, they have examined 40 long-haul destinations around the world and ranked them based on their value for money as holiday destinations. And this year, an Indian city has made a debut on this list! Delhi has made it to the list of the most affordable holiday destinations of 2024 and has secured the 13th position on the list. Long-Haul Destinations Top This Year’s Holiday Money Report
The 18th annual Post Office Travel Money Holiday Money Report for 2024 is out and they have released their list of top 15 best-value holiday destinations. They examined 40 long-haul destinations and found that Vietnam, South Africa, and Kenya emerged as the most affordable holiday destinations. While this list is made keeping in mind the UK holiday goers, it does give a fair idea of affordable holiday destinations for all of us.
For this report, the Post Office UK examined the average cost of eight tourist items. These include costs of sunscreen, coffee, beer, cola, wine, water, and a three-course dinner for two. According to the Holiday Money Report 2024, the average expenditure on these eight items in Vietnam is £51.18 (₹5,336). For South Africa, the total cost of these items is £54.35 (₹5,667); for Kenya £54.93 (₹5,727); for Japan £59.05 (₹6,157); and for Portugal £59.69 (₹6,224). As for Delhi, the total cost of these items was noted to be £77.84 (₹8,118).
