And now, Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had announced that one section of this rapid rail transport system will be inaugurated in the first week of June.

Delhi-Meerut Rapid To Start Soon From June

The Delhi Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS)’s first priority line from Sahibabad to Duhai is set to open soon. The corridor has been named RapidX by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC). How Are The RapidX Train Coaches?

The DMRTS will have several features that are designed to make the journey comfortable and convenient for passengers. These include air-conditioned coaches, Wi-Fi connectivity, luggage racks, and comfortable seating arrangements. The trains will also have dedicated spaces for specially-abled passengers.

The train services are also said to have a dedicated train attendant in the premium coach of the train to assist commuters, according to an article in livemint. The first coach of the RapidX train will be a premium coach. There will also be glass lifts installed inside the stations to make them look more airy, spacious and open. Even drinking water and washroom facilities have been provided in the paid area of the concourse level at every station.

Special arrangements have been made at RAPIDX stations for hassle-free movement of visually-impaired people. Dedicated tactile paths have been created to avoid any confusion and show them the shortest possible route to the key areas in the station.

The project is expected to provide a faster, safer, and more convenient mode of transportation to passengers and will have a significant impact on the commute of this region.
