The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation will suspend Pink Line services daily from 2 PM to 4 PM between Maujpur and Shiv Vihar. This disruption will continue until 10 May 2025, affecting commuters on the Maujpur-Babarpur to Shiv Vihar section. The Pink Line, which connects several important areas across the city, serves a significant number of commuters every day. DMRC has urged passengers to take alternative routes during this temporary disruption. Services on the remaining part of the Pink Line, from Majlis Park to Maujpur-Babarpur, will not be affected and will operate as usual during the daily maintenance window.
Commuters Advised To Plan Alternative Routes
With this two-hour suspension in place, commuters relying on this section of the Pink Line are encouraged to use alternative travel routes. Other metro lines, such as the Red Line and Yellow Line, may experience increased passenger traffic, particularly during peak travel hours. To manage the disruption, DMRC has suggested checking for live updates on their official app and website.

Although the suspension is only for two hours daily, it could cause delays and crowding, particularly for those with tight schedules. Regular travellers should plan their trips around the suspension time and consider using auto-rickshaws, buses, or other metro lines for a smoother journey.
Importance Of Scheduled Maintenance
The planned suspension is part of DMRC’s ongoing efforts to enhance the Pink Line’s operational efficiency. As reported by DMRC, the system upgrades focus on improving the signalling system and track maintenance, ensuring greater safety and reliability for commuters in the long term. The ongoing improvements will also help the metro system meet the increasing demands of Delhi’s expanding population.
DMRC has assured prompt completion of the work and will resume services as per the regular timetable after 4 PM each day. They encourage commuters to stay informed about further updates regarding the maintenance and any additional changes.
