This incident comes amidst a string of similar occurrences in recent days. On Sunday, a Vistara flight bound for Mumbai, carrying over 300 passengers and crew, made an emergency landing due to a handwritten bomb threat. Thankfully, the situation resulted in a safe landing and no reported injuries.

Security on passenger planes is paramount in the aviation industry. All airlines have strict protocols in place to address potential threats and ensure passenger safety. Diverting a flight, while inconvenient to passengers, is a standard course of action when a security concern arises.

Akasa Air has not yet provided details on the status of the passengers or the rescheduled flight to Mumbai. Passengers are likely experiencing delays and disruptions to their travel plans. The airline is expected to prioritise rebooking or assisting passengers with alternative arrangements to reach their destination.
