In a recent report by the Live Mint, it was revealed that the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) aims to introduce 10 new themed parks for children in the city. These innovative playgrounds will feature interactive play structures, such as animal replicas, robots, and science models! As it happens, several prime locations, such as the space above Hauz Khas multilevel parking and even corners of Pitampura’s SU block park have been chosen. In fact, the park near Ganga Ram Hospital in Rajendra Nagar, historic Qudsia Bagh under the City-Sadar Paharganj zone, and Sector 21 Park in Rohini under the Narela zone have also been proposed. So, once complete, each of these parks will feature knowledge sections besides the fun-filled area.

The report also revealed that these parks won’t just be playgrounds, but will offer a learning experience as well. So, it will not only feature innovative swings, multi-equipment, wall-holla, climbing nets, and slides but also a knowledge section. This comes after in 2018, the MCD introduced Nandan Van in Greater Kailash 1. Costing around ₹1 crore, the fun-filled play area is certainly a favourite amongst children.
