The last few years and decades saw a surge in pollution everywhere. And this is truly hampering everyone’s health leading to many diseases and even deaths. When it comes to Delhi, air pollution has become a major concern and it is only deteriorating day by day. Air pollution is standing out as a major harmful problem not only for the Delhites but also for tourists visiting here, thus impacting the tourism sector badly.

It is very well known how the extreme surge in Delhi air pollution is affecting human health severely. And with increasing health concerns, this is also now impacting the medical tourism of the country. One may often think how Delhi’s pollution is responsible for hampering India’s medical tourism sector. To answer this, Delhi is one of the most crucial places in India where many patients both from Indian states and overseas visit for medical purposes.

And with the umpteen air pollution at the moment, many patients are quite uncertain to travel to Delhi. For the past many years, the air quality worsened to a huge extent during these months and this is what makes people concerned more. Hence more and more patients are delaying their visits to the national capital.

The Medical Sector Is Facing Issues!

During the COVID-19 pandemic, this sector faced immense bumps on the road because of restrictions while travelling within the country and crossing international borders. After the pandemic, the industry started getting back on track to a good extent. Unfortunately, poor air quality is again interfering with the sector and tourism companies’ growth. The way the situation is getting worse in Delhi, many overseas patients are unsure of visiting the national capital for medical purposes at the moment.

Even after growing to be an important country for health purposes, the rapid increase in air pollution is meddling in its growth. Poor air quality can lead to many diseases and no one really wants to hamper their health more after visiting here. Many experts asked people to wear an N95 mask while steeping out of their houses, especially people with respiratory diseases.
