Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport won the Skytrax World Airport Awards as the best airport in India and South Asia. Every year, based on an annual survey of 500 airports, the Skytrax World Airport Awards measure customer satisfaction with service and amenities. In this fourth consecutive year of winning the award, Delhi airport has earned praise for its service and amenities.
Only Airport In India Ranking In The Top 50
The airport rose from 45th place to 37th place according to a statement from GMR, and it became the only Indian airport to appear in the top 50 airports in the world. The Infra-led airport is not only awarded for its unbeatable service and amenities but also has been praised for its cleanliness. CEO of Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL), Videh Jaipuriar gave the winning credits to the airport staff, stakeholders and partners. He spoke about how their constant resilience, focus, and customer-centricity is the reason behind the win. He also spoke about how Delhi airport has always set standards when it comes to offering an amazing airport experience and will continue to do so.

One Of The Most Prestigious Awards
Customers in the world’s largest, annual survey of airport customer satisfaction vote in the Skytrax World Airport Awards, the most prestigious award in the airport industry. In assessing customer service and facilities across more than 550 airports, they are considered the quality benchmark for the global airport industry. Survey questionnaires were filled out by airport consumers from September 2021 to May 2022 by more than 100 nationalities.
