I succeeded in booking tickets for one of Diljit Dosanjh’s Dil-Luminati tours and I would like to compare the experience with something whirlwind. The excitement and rush of opening Zomato and purchasing tickets were too intense. Ever since he announced the grand news of the India tour, fans got too excited to get their hands on the tickets. With Delhi’s Dil-Luminati Tour date approaching soon, his admirers from all around are heading to the city. The sudden demand for tickets surged airfares noticeably.
Diljit Dosanjh’s Dil-Luminati Tour Increased Delhi-Bound Ticket Prices
Dosanjh is hosting two consecutive shows in the national capital on October 26 and 27. This is also when travel enthusiasts are all set to embark on their Diwali holidays. Delhi has always been one of India’s favourite travel destinations. With the perfect peak travel season, the demand for flight tickets to Delhi sees a rise. In addition to travellers heading to this scenic city for vacations, Diljit’s fans are waiting to board flights to land here.
Evidently, it is a clash between the festive holiday season and Diljit and looks like the Punjabi singer clinched the reason behind exponential demand this year. Flight ticket fares soared as high as almost 50 per cent, according to a report by Livemint.
Looks like fans are making the best use of this upcoming festive weekend to plan a holiday to the destination and include this iconic concert in the itinerary too.
Comparing concert dates and days before and after the Delhi tour revealed a vast difference between flight fares. Airfares witnessed an intense uptick on October 26, right before the concert. The exact pattern has been noticed on busy domestic air routes such as Bengaluru-Delhi, Hyderabad-Delhi, and Mumbai-Delhi.
Flight Tickets To Delhi Are Getting Booked At Expensive Prices
Flight booking trend for October 26, 2024, highlighted a sudden rise in ticket fares to Delhi from Mumbai. According to Skyscanner, a Mumbai-Delhi ticket costs around ₹5,899 on October 30, even after it is one of the peak festive dates. On the other hand, the same ticket on the exact route is charging between ₹11,000 and ₹12,000 on the first day of the Dil-Luminati Tour in Delhi.
