When you think about Ganeshotsav, the first city that probably comes in our mind is the city of Mumbai. With streets full of people dressed in colourful attire walking with beaming smiles on their faces, as they danced in the procession bringing Lord Ganesha to the temple grounds. However, not just in Mumbai but the Ganeshotsav fever is also gripping Indian expats in the UAE. We are talking about the upcoming Ganeshotsav celebrations that will be happening in Ajman for the ninth consecutive year.
Ganeshotsav In Ajman?
It’s not just in India, but even in the UAE where Indians have been dipped by the Ganeshotsav fever. Yes, the Shree Ganeshotsava Committee UAE, according to a news report by Newskarnataka.com will be celebrating this festival for the ninth consecutive year in Ajman. Scheduled as Sarvajanika Shree Ganeshotsava 2023, the celebrations will be taking place at the Indian Association Hall in Juf. Celebrations will take off on Sunday, September 24 and are open to all devotees as limitation is for free. What Will The Celebrations Entail?
The day will begin with Ganahoma at 7 AM, which will go on till 9 AM with the Ganpati Idol Prathisthapna. After this, the puja will continue till 1 PM and then there will be the Maha Mangalarathi, which will then be followed by Maha Annnadanam. The former Minister of Government of Karnataka, Krishna J. Palemar, former Legislative Assembly Member Government of Karnataka Sri Raghupati Bhat, and President Margadeepa UAE, Ajith Korakodu among the honourable guest. After this, several other cultural events have been planned for the day, which include everything from bhajan to dancing.
