Designer Alejandro Nuñez Vicente recently shared some pictures of the prototype of brand-new designs for double-decker airplane seats. Designer Alejandro Nuñez Vicente dropped these images of his newly-designed airplane seats and it is very unlikely of the flights we generally travel. Let’s take a look at the images of this prototype model.

The images of the double-decker airplane seat layout are built in quite a unique setup. In the planes that we travel, the seats are kept on the same level and next to each other. But these double-decker flight seats have been arranged in a different manner. Here, the designer kept the airplane seats on two different levels; up and down. Alejandro Nuñez Vicente shared in the caption of his Instagram post that his team decided to build something like this with the only objective and it is to “enhance passenger comfort and space while maintaining passenger capacity”.

Alejandro and his team are not from the industry but their interest and determination to enhance the economy class has taken them so far. The 23-year-old began this university project during the COVID-19 pandemic and now it has become a primary discussion in the aviation world.

The entire world is now discussing the prototype of these double-decker airplane seats. Alejandro shared in the caption that even he is shocked about the “global mediatic impact” of this start-up. Netizens have mixed reactions to the seat arrangements. While this design has impressed a huge section of people, there are some who are not exactly in favour of it. Many are pointing out that seating at the bottom seats by keeping the face close to the upper seat can be an issue for many. Some even said how climbing to the top row can be an issue.
