Saudi Arabia has been in the headlines for quite some time for its series of development projects. As a result, it’s hardly surprising that it has made headlines once again, as it has introduced plans to launch the Dream Of The Desert train service. A first-of-its-kind in the Middle East and North Africa region, here’s all about the plans to introduce the 40-cabin luxury train.

As reported by the Saudi Press Agency, the Saudi Arabia Railway has plans to introduce Dream Of The Desert train service to the kingdom. Announced on X by the official account of SAR on January 26, the post mentioned that the bookings will become available for this in the fourth quarter of 2024 and operations will begin in the fourth quarter of 2025. Not to mention, it will feature 40 luxurious cabins and will be travelling between Al Qurayyat and Riyadh.
Yes, it will begin at the North Train Station in Riyadh and end at the Al Qurayyat train station. Additionally, this luxury train will also be passing through Hail, and the trip will be for one or two nights.
This Train Will Have 4- Luxe Cabins
At this point, it’s worth mentioning that the SAR has partnered with the Italian Arsenale group, which is a specialist in administering luxurious train trips for the project. A first-of-its-kind service in the Middle East and North Africa region, the initiatives for this transport development plan have been taken to improve the quality of life. As it happens, It was also revealed that the initial production stages are already underway in Italy! Moreover, the preparations for the services have also been announced.

Not The Only Recent Development Project In The Kingdom
It’s worth mentioning that this is not the only development plan revealed for Saudi Arabia. Recently it also announced other mega projects shaping up in the kingdom. For instance, Zardun in NEOM and the oil rig theme park, The Rig were also quite recently revealed in Saudi Arabia.
