Dubai has certainly moved ahead and has set in a new normal for residents. Most of the venues in the city- from restaurants to swimming pools, malls, parks and theaters are open. However, there are a few rules and regulations that are still banned. In case you aren’t aware, read this list and ensure you follow the same.

1. No Self-Serving At Buffets

While restaurants are permitted to host buffets, diners are prohibited from touching utensils. Diners will be served by staff and must stand in a queue with two metres between each person.

2. No Sitting In The Front Seat Of A Taxi

The number of passengers in cars is restricted to three people, unless they belong to the same family. This means, that only two passengers can travel together in regular taxis. The number might be a little more in case of bigger taxis. However, sitting near the drives seat is strictly prohibited.

3. Dancing In Bars & Nightclubs

As per the latest update from the government, all UAE residents visiting a bar in Dubai must be fully vaccinated, with both doses of the coronavirus vaccine. All bars in Dubai now check both the Alhosn app and pdf version of the medical certificate issued after your second dose. Besides, dancing in bars or nightclubs is still prohibited.

5. Hosting More Than 30 People At Home Weddings

Weddings can be conducted, but only vaccinated guests will be permitted to enter. Weddings conducted in hotels and venues are currently capped at 100 guests. In addition, all staff orgainisng the wedding must also be vaccinated. Weddings organized at home cannot have more than 30 guests.

6. No More Than 10 People Per Table At Restaurants

Restaurants are now allowed to host 10 people in the same table. However, groups of more than 10 will be split between two or more tables. The limit for cafes is six per table.

7. Attend Sports, Cultural, Social & Art Events

You must be vaccinated in order to attend live sports and cultural events in Dubai. In addition, you must also show a valid PCR test ahead of time. Masks must be worn at all times, even when inside the venue.

8. Walking Around Without A Facemask

Last but not the least, walking around without a facemask is strictly prohibited. The mask can be removed only while eating or swimming and must be worn at all other times.
