Listen up art enthusiasts, Dubai Design Week is returning for its 10th season this November. Yes, happening at the awesomesauce Dubai Design District, the milestone edition is hitting the town from November 5 to 10. Dubai Design Week is returning this November with a lineup of extraordinary 500 internationally acclaimed and emerging designers. They are showcasing their designs in different ways, which include everything from installations and exhibitions to mediums. The highlight of the show includes the Waterfront Terrace at D3, which will be running from November 6 to 9. This year it will feature leading international speakers, brands, and designers who will be taking part in the exhibition for the first time. Coming to the installations, they will include designers from South Asia and North Africa region who will be showcasing some of the finest works that will be based on the theme of vernacular architecture.

An annual competition, which calls upon designers and architects to develop outdoor furniture for public spaces is also happening and the theme is ‘Tawila’. Translating to a ‘table’ in English, the designs will examine the table as a platform for the exchange of communal experiences, and traditions. Not to mention, more than 50 workshops and master classes will be organised for professionals and creatives of all ages and interests.

Visitors can also hear from industry and regional experts about the design industry as they share their knowledge of the latest trends and innovations. Finally, they will certainly love to get their hands on some exquisite products including everything from home and jewellery to fashion and lifestyle that will be showcased by homegrown businesses from the region. In fact, there will also be food experiences children’s activities and life performances to keep everybody entertained.

It’s worth mentioning that Downtown Dubai, which is the anchor event will also mark its return. The highlight of this year will be the first limited edition Art and Design Fair. First in the region, it will take place across three days where you will be able to visit more than 50 galleries, collective, and design studios. Yes, they will be showcasing contemporary designs, prints, photography, ceramics, and loads more! Other highlights also include Veuve Clicquot’s new Sun Club Lounge with the theme La Dolce Vita.
