And during the 20th-anniversary edition of the Global Traveller – GT Tested Reader Survey Awards, which was held in California, Dubai Duty Free won the Best Duty Free Shopping in the World for the 17th consecutive year. This is big news, as the award reinstates its position as a leading Duty Free shopping place in the world.

As mentioned in a post by the Dubai Media Office on X, it was revealed that besides being awarded the Best Duty Free Shopping in the World for the 17th year in a row, it was also given the Best Duty Free Shopping in the Middle East. This was also not the first time that the place was being awarded the recognition, it was for the fifth time!
It should be noted that the Dubai Duty Free emerged as a winner in the survey, which was conducted between December 2022 and August 2023. With more than 20,000 respondents, the result was finally reached, in which the Dubai Duty Free earned its recognition.

At this point, it’s worth mentioning that this list of respondents included frequent travellers who averaged 19 domestic flights per year with 93% travelling internationally on a regular basis. Not to mention, these were mostly in the first and business class!
However, this is not the first time that the Dubai Duty Free has been recognised as a leading shopping destination for travellers. Previously, the Dubai Duty Free and Dubai International Airport have also been awarded numerous recognitions for their services provided to travellers arriving in Dubai or transiting through the airport.
