Dubai Gears Up For A 5-Day Saudi National Day Celebration

UAE has always celebrated the Saudi National Day with great fanfare. This year the country will see a 5-day celebration to honor the 89th National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. From fireworks and light shows to cultural events, there is a lot to look forward to.

Fireworks And Laser Shows

Enjoy the thrilling fireworks at The Pointe at Palm Jumeirah and The Beach at JBR on 23rd September. Want to take your time experience a notch higher? Head to the Dubai Festival City Mall, where the much acclaimed Imagica Show will put up a unique Saudi National Day Themed program. It is set to bring together fire, laser and water elements for its show from 19th September to 23rd September.

Musical Performances

UAE will also see some local Saudi talent performing to bring together the two nations through music. Catch Balqees Fathi at City Walk on 19th September. Additionally, head to La Mer to witness Shamma Hamdan enthrall the audience on 20 September. Additionally, you can also catch live performances by Saudi’s Ismail Mubarak and Ramy Abdallah on 21st September. Yemini singer Fouad AbdelWahad on 22nd September from 7-10pm at The Dubai Mall is set to perform as part of the celebrations too.

Talking of Dubai Mall, Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa will also go green with the Saudi flag on 23rd September. Moreover, the visitors will experience a specially crafted Saudi themed fountain show on the backdrop of Saudi National Anthem. Throughout the week, Saudi bands will perform in the mall and at the City Walk in the buildup to national day.

UAE also hosts a sizeable Saudi community residing in the country. To honor the big day for the Saudi residents, retailers are offering discounts in the malls. Vacationers can enjoy special staycation packages in the hotels too. IMG World of Adventures has also brought in a special package for Saudi Nationals. They can enjoy the park this week for AED 299 inclusive of an AED 50 Food voucher.
