Dubai International Airport Welcomes Over 7,50,000 Travellers During The Ongoing Summer Rush

We already know that most of the people in Dubai (if not the whole of UAE) have decided to take a short break to another country during the long Eid al-Adha holiday. As a result, a large number of passengers have flown in and out of Dubai International Airport, since Friday, June 23. This is hardly surprising, as there were speculations of Dubai airport being insanely busy with a large number of travellers jetting off for a vacation. And now this has been proven by the fact that more than 7,50,000 passengers have flown in and out from the airport in the last couple of days. Here’s more about this!

Dubai International Airport Welcomes A Large Number Of Passengers!

Dubai International Airport continues to remain absolutely busy as there are many people who are travelling for their vacation. However, it was recently reported by the National News that over 7,50,000 passengers have flown in and out of the airport since June 23. So, with this, a large number of passengers are continuously making their way to the busy airport in large numbers. Not to mention, many people already took leaves on Monday to increase their number of holidays. However, it’s worth noting that the authorities have said that the airport had already been racing for this large influx of travellers. This is bound to be expected, as this airport sees a large number of travellers during the Eid and summer holidays!

Smart Gates Ease Movement For Travellers

In fact, from Friday till midnight of Tuesday, the Director General of Dubai’s General Directorate of Residency & Foreigners Affairs, Lt Gen Mohammed Al Marri, had mentioned in the same report that the airport had already welcome 7,52,167 passengers. It should be mentioned that the use of smart gates and the large number of staff working has helped to smooth the operations at the airport. As it happens, 37% of travellers tend to use smart gates and the plan is to raise this to 50% by the end of this year. It is expected that July 2 is going to be the busiest during this holiday as it is expected to welcome 3,05,000 passengers at the Dubai International Airport.

Travellers were pleasantly surprised to find the smooth and well-organised procedures and how quickly they were able to pass through the passport control area without any delay.
