1. Mwasalat Buses Real-Time Info To Soon Be Available For Passengers

This service has played an important role in the enhancement of public bus services. And now there are plans to install Real Time Passenger Information, for which the tender has also been floated. This will be available across bus stations and bus stops in Oman! In fact, the RTPI screens are bound to enhance public transportation services.

2. Qatar Airways Acquires 25% Stake In Airlink

Qatar Airways recently announced that it has acquired a 25% stake in Airlink, a Southern Africa independent regional carrier. This investment is bound to boost the Gulf carrier’s Africa growth strategy! With these shares, Qatar Airways can nominate 2 directors to serve on the Airlink’s board.

3. 2 M+ Visitors Received By Abu Dhabi Hotels

Abu Dhabi hotels have received more than 2 million visitors! Yes, these figures are for the first five months of 2024, as per the data released by the Statistics Centre Abu Dhabi. In fact, going by the statistics from the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, the hotel revenues had risen to AED3.18 billion from January to May 2024.

4. Akasa Air To Begin Flights Between Mumbai & Kuwait From Aug 23

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has now approved the request of the Indian airline Akasa. With this approval, they will commence flight services between Kuwait International Airport and Mumbai Airport. Yes, from August 23 onwards, the airline will operate seven flights per week! With this, there will be one flight per day on this new route.

5. Dubai RTA Completes Road Improvements

Dubai RTA has completed the traffic improvements on some important key roads in Dubai. Yes, they’ve completed the improvements on four key locations within the Al Safa 1 Schools Complex. The improvements include the widening of entry and exit points and the introduction of traffic-calming measures. Yes, these include traffic lights and pedestrian crossings!
