Dubai Ruler Unveils Tourism Plan For Hatta Including Sustainable Waterfall, Beach & Mountain Railway & More!

On the 24th of October, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum approved the ‘Hatta Master Development Plan’ which is a part of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan launched earlier this year. Six projects were announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, which consisted of the Hatta sustainable waterfall, an establishment of 504km-long chairlifts, and even a world-class hotel and hiking trails to the highest peak in Dubai, Jebel Umm Al Nisour.

Hatta Aims To Emerge As The Sustainable Tourism Hub

The Dubai Mountain Peak and Hatta Sustainable Waterfalls project, implemented by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, aim to support development plans in Hatta and augment itself as a top tourism destinations in the Emirates. Alongside this, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed also outlined the development of sustainable hotels that will provide a variety of services to the community and support tourism and sports activities with plans to build bicycle and scooter tracks in a 120-kilometer network connecting all major attractions and residential areas.

Longest Mountain Bike Trail To Come Up At Hatta

It even includes the construction of the longest mountain bike trail in the UAE for hosting international competitions and events. Additionally, plans for a sustainable transportation system will also be developed, including a direct bus service from Dubai to Hatta, where tourists can bring bicycles and scooters. Tourist buses will also have sightseeing facilities to the historical sites.
